Buxton is blessed with two great golf courses; Buxton & High Peak and Cavendish. Having recently played Cavendish, which was excellent, I played Buxton & High Peak today, and it too was excellent. The course condition is a credit to the greenkeepers. If you’re in Buxton or planning a visit, I would certainly have a round here, in fact, try to play both courses if you get chance.

What an absolute treat – food wonderful, staff and service wonderful. We stayed in the area for 3 night and ate here 2 of those nights. Will definitely return. A true gem of a place

Played today in great weather. The course is in fantastic condition. After 10 holes you cross a busy road but it’s reasonably safe.

It’s a fair test, not too long and generous fairways. Lots of bunkers and links style slopes keep it interesting.

We had lunch in the bar, sandwiches, burgers etc all well priced.

At £20 for a midweek round you can’t go wrong!.

Played this course today in glorious weather. Course was in fine condition with great fairways and greens. Fantastic views of the Peak District. Clubhouse very friendly. Will definitely visit again

Great course with a good variety of holes , even though this is an inland course holes 3-6 have very much a Links feel to them. After that you have holes 11,12 and 13 to navigate around a old quary which makes it interesting and fun. The course is well looked after and has excellent drainage. As it’s in Buxton you may play it in favourable conditions but if the wind is up then this can be a beast to play. Club house, members and staff are all help. They have some fantastic deals on so make sure you check out the website.

Lovely friendly golf course. Very pretty with different challenges as you play the course.
Well kept fairways and greens.

If you go on Thursdays is £10 a round fantastic value

This golf course is well worth a visit if you are staying nearby
