Visitor Golf in Buxton

Visitors are welcome at Buxton & High Peak Golf Club throughout the year, subject to course conditions and tee-time availability.

Our 18-hole, par-69 course is set on free-draining limestone and combines Peak District scenery with the character of an inland links. Despite its elevated position, the course does not involve arduous climbs and provides an enjoyable challenge for a broad range of golfers.

Individual visitors can book online, while groups and societies can contact the club for a tailored package.

What tees do visitors play from?

Visitors and society players normally play from the yellow or red tees unless another arrangement has been agreed in advance.

What is the dress code?

Recognised golf clothing is required on the course, including suitable golf footwear. Clean smart-casual clothing is permitted in the clubhouse. Golf hats and dirty or soiled clothing should not be worn inside.

Can societies arrange food before or after their round?

Yes. Society packages can include arrival refreshments, breakfast rolls, light meals or more substantial post-round catering. Discuss your requirements when requesting a quotation.

Can a society use a private presentation area?

Yes. The clubhouse dining space can be arranged to provide a private area for society presentations, subject to availability and prior agreement.

Is the course suitable for mixed-handicap groups?

Yes. The course provides an interesting test for experienced golfers while remaining enjoyable for occasional players. Society organisers should provide the club with details of their group when booking.
